James Tillich For President

Fascism finds its useful idiots in every period of time and excels at getting the most ignorant of the population (Right Wingnut Christians) to support the puppet it holds up for them to salute.(Fox News, George Bush, Sarah Palin)
In order to create the most perfect idiot, it has to first find someone who is poorly educated but not smart enough to realize it. (Texans, most of the Bible Belt)
The second step is to manipulate any inadequacies so they, and their favored corporate entities, benefit from the manipulation. (Mussolini and his desire to be accepted by the aristocracy who were disgusted by him, and the Teabaggers who publicly beg their corporate masters to beat them some more).
The third is to convince the masses that they, the self-appointed elite who detest those who must work for a living, are their only friends in the corporate monolith called America. (Republicans, Astro-Turf Teabaggers, Glenn Beck) as they slowly strip away any protections our forefathers died to give us.
When you add all this together, one candidate squirms her way from the ooze of ignorance to claim her throne. In Sarah Palin, the Fascists have their perfect tool, their sublime puppet, their easily manipulated idiot child. I have no doubt she will be the Teahadist Queen of the Ball come nomination time as she fits all the requirements on their list. She's dumber than a bag of clubbed halibut. She's so greedy that she'll bite at shiny money the way a bear bites at salmon climbing a raging waterfall to spawn. And she's so easily manipulated, all you have to do is scream "Jesus" and she'll scream back "how much?"
In order to prevent the horrible atrocity of Bush III, the horrible sequel, those of us with still functioning brains that haven't been pulverized by fear into a quivering mass of ignorance via Fox News, must put up a viable candidate to run against her. It can't be someone as mundane as a Democrat because they are spineless Corporate tools-lite who will roll over for the promise of a group hug.
And it can't be Republicans because they've become too obvious in their servitude to their rich masters and are just embarrassing to anyone with a spine.
I propose a candidate who is new on the scene, who is beholden to no one, who has no masters, no corporate sponsorship, no PAC dollars to turn into political favors. He is James Tillich. And best of all, he is the perfect anti-Palin candidate without crossing into the minefields of Liberal, Democrat, Progressive, or bitter Nader-Squad of Punitive Asshattery.
Like Sarah Palin he exists as a viable Presidential candidate only in the minds of those who get up in the middle of the night to swat at things crawling on the walls. Some refer to these hallucinations as Jesus, others refer to them as silly mushrooms. But the mainstream media refers to the voices in their heads as President Palin.
And that's what makes James Tillich such a perfect candidate to run against Sarah Palin. Like her, he does not exist. Like her, he was and continues to be manufactured and created by those who have an ulterior motive in seeing her succeed. And like Sarah Palin, he is empty and lacking in substance enough that he can be manipulated, directed, re-created and elected by anyone who has an agenda they feel strongly enough about to devote time to campaigning for him as they champion him as a true man of the people.
Let today, the last day of 2010, be day one of the campaign to elect James Tillich to public office. It doesn't matter if it is mayor, city councilman, dogcatcher, or President. James Tillich--the man who doesn't exist, never existed, and never will exist is the perfect candidate to represent an America headed by idiot puppets controlled by corporate masters. Rather than the blatherings of Sarah Palin, let America regain some minimal status in the world again by having as President a man who stands for nothing, says nothing, and obeys no one and no thing. It beats being clubbed to death on public TV for the sake of entertainment.

Getting Used For Your Love
We've been hearing a lot about Hillary's Pumas lately and will hear even more because they are an easy target to exploit as are most people who are inflexibly attached to anything. As someone who originally supported Hillary and was driven away by the nasty politics she engaged in, it wasn't that big a step to go from one Democrat to another. I know what's at stake here and I'll vote for any Democrat to rid the country of the parasitical Republicans who care only about lining their own pockets at the expense of people like me and you.
But I do know two women who are so inflexible over Hillary not getting the nomination that they will put the future of their daughters in the hands of those who will take away their right to choose, who will almost guarantee they'll be sent to fight in some war for the next line of Cheneys, and who will let lobbyists and arms merchants dictate foreign policy. This is just plain selfish.
But setting that aside because after all, these are only two women and I believe, because they are intelligent women, they won't allow themselves to remain trapped in an abusive relationship. They'll probably end up voting Libertarian once common sense kicks in and they realize their emotions are being played by the McCrazies, or they will suck it up and vote for the perpetual candidate of the disaffected, Ralph Nader. That's their right and I honor it.
Having said that, I am one of those people who remembers what I read a few months ago about some of those primary votes for Hillary. Here's a typical article on the "phenomenon" read more. I remember how hatemongers like Rush Limbaugh encouraged his listeners to go vote for Hillary, not because he had any love or respect for her or them, but because the Republicans wanted to manipulate the primaries and get rid of what they considered a serious contender: Barack Obama.
And the Republicans are so desperate right now that they will grab hold of anything to exploit. Of course with their compliant whores in the media, they will exploit exploit exploit the passion these voters feel and turn it into slime like they do everything they touch. Those two women I mentioned will be magnified into a huge division within the Democratic party. They will be featured over and over again as something to fear, to use, to manipulate, to convince voters that the Democrats are fractured and can't agree on anything. They will do things like pile a bunch of closet Republicans (that GOP sure does love closets, don't they) into a hummer and claim they are Pumas. Check out this and tell me that any decent Hillary supporter would show up in something as blatantly symbolic of Republican excess than the hummer. While I would have loved a woman President, I'll settle for Obama because I truly do feel he represents me and my interests. Unlike the GOP meme that gets passed around to discredit him, he does stand for much of what I believe in. I went and read his website early on in the debate instead of listening to the bought and paid for media try and convince me he stood for nothing. Shame on those who didn't and still ask in that quasi-rhetorical meme zombie tone of voice: but what DOES he mean by change? Go read for yourself and quit letting the state run media tell you what to think and believe. Then you'll understand why more than anything America needs not just someone promising change but someone who is a symbol of that change. After eight years of Bush and his idiocy, I want someone who can talk to the entire world and not just a bunch of mindless GOP cheerleaders. That to me is a real leader.

Barack Obama and Al Gore For President
My dream ticket for President has once again shifted to what will probably remain in place for a while now because it fits what I want. That ticket is Barack Obama and Al Gore. The reason I have Gore second is because I think he would be more effective as a Vice-President. As Cheney has proven with his backroom deals and strong-arm manipulations, you can get more done while others are looking elsewhere...like at the President instead of you.
The difference is that Al Gore, unlike Cheney, is a man of conscience and principles. You can't be selfish and still devote your life to something like Global Warming. Before real Science began its slow comeback and started knocking the junk science/oil company propaganda "theories" off the shelf, he might as well have gone around saying he was abducted by aliens. People nodded politely and backed away from him with fear in their eyes.
There are some who still do, the pathetic brain-washed pulpit pets who wouldn't know an original thought if it whacked them upside their religious crap addled pea brains. But those people will never vote for a Democrat. They'll continue to follow their idiot leaders right off the cliff. The ones that did manage to make their way to the voting booths based on hate crumbs will not find their way back once they realize the GOP front runners are no longer pandering to them the way they did before Jerry "Dick in a box" Falwell was alive to translate for them. And once the rapture comes and takes them away, we'll have our country back anyways.
I want a Vice-President that I and the rest of the world can respect. Al Gore gained my respect with "Earth In the Balance." I've always respected visionaries who can back up what they see with some hard facts and he did that in his book. His theories have not only withstood the test of time, they've been proven to be exactly what he said they were, unlike the right wing wackos and their hallucinations about dinosaurs riding around on arks.
This is the kind of man who can bring honor and dignity back to the Vice-President's office because he doesn't need it anymore than he needs the Presidency. He's already had power, he's already had fame, he's already had respect. So the office is safe from those kind of political machinations that will leave the kind of dirty brown shit stain on it after Cheney leaves. Al Gore can do more as Vice-President to reverse Global Warming and Climate change than he could ever do with all the obligations of the Presidential office.
My reason for wanting Obama as President is because I believe in him. I believe that he is a good man. I believe that he honestly does not want war, does not need war to pump himself up so others will see him as a man instead of an idiot like Duh-bya. Obama won't embarrass us by marching around in a flight suit he did not earn the privilege of wearing. He won't act like the ignorant uncle bubba who had one beer too many and started fist fights with foreign countries. He will restore dignity to the office of the President. He will be a good, honest and caring President with the courage of his convictions. I define strength as standing up to the war machine when all the bought and paid for presstitutes and their handlers are screaming for war and Obama had the courage to do so. That alone tells me has the courage needed to be a good president.
But my main reason, shallow though it may sound, is that this country needs a symbolic turnaround for the rest of the world to believe we are really trying to take our country back from the crazies. We've gone backwards in time by allowing the American version of the Taliban to do our public speaking for us. So many in the world not only perceive us as violent and oppressive war-mongering invaders, they also see us as religious fruitcakes not much different than other religious extremists like the Taliban and Al Queda. When you have TV Evangelists defining foreign policy for the Moron-In-Chief, you tend to lose world respect as a country. Extremism is extremism no matter what holy book it uses to excuse its extremism.
So it comes down to this: I like both candidates equally. I think both would be great for the country and for the world. But I think a really bad symbolic act would be to have a Rich, White, Southern Christian male as President and a black man as his VP. Even if we know in our hearts that the relationship between them would not be anything less than total equals, the symbolism is counter-productive to the image we are trying to re frame to the world. And because of the damage done by Bushco we have to fix our image first before we can move forward. Anything less than an Obama Presidency will say we are ready for more of the same under a different name. Only Obama can truly be the face of change the rest of the world wants to see.
That is why we need Obama as our first black President and Gore as our Vice-President. Together they make a team dedicated to peace because one had the courage to stand up to the warmongers and the other actually served in a war so he understands first hand the necessity of keeping us out and getting us out of another one. They are both intelligent, educated men who don't have to resort to simple-minded bible quotes and threats to run a country. They will lead us into the new age with honor, dignity, and pride of accomplishment.
It will not happen overnight, but between them there's quite a few presidential elections to win in the future. I truly believe that together they will move us forward so the damn dinosaurs can get off that stupid ark and get back to their tar pits where they belong and we can get our country back.

Why I Vote
Why I Vote
I've been asked several times by people of all ages, stripes, and colors why on earth I continue to vote in elections that are rigged and will not reflect the will of the people. My answer is always the same: I will not let these evil, manipulative bastards that are in control kill my hope because once that is gone, they own me. I continue to believe elections can only be stolen if they are close. Don't let this one be close. Get out and vote if you haven't already. Bring a friend to the polls. Make turnout so overwhelming that the will of the people cannot be subverted again.
Sometimes the hardest thing is to admit our own complicity in a bad thing. I see this administration as the result of mass apathy and voter indifference. It's no different than having a swarm of creepy, crawling vermin moving into your house because you don't care enough about it to engage in periodic pest control. These pathetic excuses for human beings, these warmongering cretins who care nothing about human life, are in charge because most of us let them get in and stay there.
I can understand that after 911, most of us were stunned into submission to whomever promised to make the pain go away. These evil Bushco bastards manipulated fear, shock, and very likely even set up the whole thing--or at the very least, allowed it to happen on purpose, for one thing only: to enrich and empower themselves. They care nothing about us. They care only about themselves.
Yes, there was a period of time in this country when we deserved representatives who were as selfish and indifferent as we were. Life seemed like one, big, never-ending party...until Bushco came to town and took over the dance halls, saloons, and our hearts and souls. Did we fight back? Did we question their right to do this? Did we even fucking object?
America is one of the most medicated countries in the world. We either take prescribed drugs that numb us to all feeling, or we buy them off the street or from the liquor stores to numb our pain at being used, abused, manipulated and lied to by these thugs. Many of the repugs have ties to the pharmaceutical industry. Do you think it is an accident, a minor coincidence that all these drugs to numb us started appearing just as they were beginning their takeover of our country?
As the professionals often tell those who are trying to break free from addictions and other destructive behavior: you have to want to get better. It has to come from inside you. That's why you need to get out the vote tomorrow. It's the first step toward getting better.

Barack Obama--A Glimmer Of Hope
Lately Politics has been a depressing obligation for me. I have serious differences with many of those running for office...and most of them are people I'm voting for. I have to hold my nose and vote for Maria Cantwell even though she blatantly panders to the military with her vote for the war in Iraq and a half-hearted bone of "it's Rumsfeld's fault" is tossed to the rest of us. No, Maria. It is your fault and the fault of a Congress who no longer listens to the people, but instead kisses the ass of every lobbyist promising campaign dollars. This is NOT representation. This is whoredom.
But the alternative is even worse...a lobbyist, a corporate clone, more of the same selfishness to enrich themselves at the expense of the working class. I'm appalled but no longer surprised that the employees of Safeco and its insurees had to take the financial hit so McGavick could get that multi-million dollar golden parachute. It's what happens when you put corporations in charge of the country. No one should be surprised. It's like getting mad at a predatory animal for ripping into a hunk of fresh meat. That's just corporate behavior. It won't change.
But my vote will go to Democrats no matter how offensive they are in their political pandering, because Bush and his warmongering religious whackos need to be reined in, they need to have some oversight, some accountability for their greed and psychotic visions...or they will get their damned Armaggedon over our dead bodies.
I turn off the news because it might as well be stamped "Made in the Pentagon" for all the objectivity it has. It makes me wonder what Bushco's illegal wiretaps uncovered in their surveillance of private citizens? Drugs? Closet Homosexuality? Bankruptcies? Mistresses? Boy Toys? What would make a Congress that once so elequently spoke against the mindless obedience of citizens in totalitarian regimes become that which they once opposed? What secrets keep them rubberstamping approval for torture, secret prisons, the destruction of the Constitution, unqualified stooges for positions that once required the best and the brightest, and the out and out thievery of their own grandchildren's natural resources? Are they even capable of feeling shame anymore?
The news is bad enough, but the constant assault of meanness, of outright lies and distortions, of attacks on character and race and sexual orientation that has become the new campaign themes of the GOP is a playground gone mad with no supervision. When I do turn the TV on, the sound is mostly muted to spare me the worst of the assault.
But something slipped through today. I saw a man speak with a kind of dignity that we haven't seen in this country for decades. I heard him talk about what would be good for America, what he would bring to us, what he would support and work to make happen for us. I was so stunned I stopped what I was doing and sat down and listened to him. I saw a man who would not bring his uncultured, savage version of diplomacy to other countries, but instead would restore our honor and dignity with his quiet intelligence and cultured demeanor. I saw a man I would be proud to have represent me and what I believe and what is good about America to the rest of the world. I saw what I've been hungry for: a dignified human being who spoke to others with respect and drew respect back for the words he spoke.
That man is Barack Obama. It is my most fervent hope that he runs for President in 2008. We need him. America needs him. The world needs him. Please, Senator Obama. Only you can give us back our dignity and respect. Please be our next President and help heal the wounds inflicted on us all by the current administration.

Pedophiles in Congress
I thought I was beyond being shocked by the actions of the GOP controlled congress after several years of being lied to about the reasons for going to war, the abuse of power, the cronyism that resulted in totally inept people occupying positions of responsibility, the outright theft of the taxpayers money and resources for their own personal enrichment and gain, the blatant "for sale" sign hung up in the halls of congress for lobbyists, and an endless list of crime, corruption, sleaze, manipulation, and total disregard for our country and its constitution.
But by covering up the actions of the child predator/pedophile Mark Foley, I am beyond shocked. This is exploiting children for personal gain and profit. This is covering up the actions of a sick and twisted individual in order to cover their own asses. Is this some more of what they mean by family values? Is this more of what they meant when they said they were going to restore the honor and integrity of congress? Is this more of what they meant when they vowed to protect the children of America from the evils that threatened them on a daily basis?
I am so disgusted that I can't even find words to describe how I feel, other than to say they have betrayed every child in America with this unforgivable conduct. Even if you think voting is stupid or worthless or that your vote won't count, please go to the polls on November 7th and vote these pedophile protectors out of office. Vote by absentee ballot if you are worried about your vote counting. Pick it up in person. Fill it out. Drop it off in person. The only way we will keep them from stealing another election is by voting in such overwhelming numbers that they can't steal it again. Just remember, a low turnout is a ticket for them to steal. Don't give it to them.
